Hi Mari -- Yep... they suddenly get a lot nicer to their mums when they're around 19! And then three boys, 16, 12 and 9? Yikes, you must be pulled many different ways! Possibly better than my story though... I had mine so close together (13 months apart) that there are a few years which are just a blur.

My 20 year-old daughter took me out to lunch yesterday! 'Course, I'd just bought her a pair of new tires, but I was pleased. Very Happy

Sozobe's "Sozlet" is a darling... some of us have had the fun of reading about her growing-up escapades for a while. Hearing about the Sozlet takes me back to those blurry years!

LOL Piffka! Mine still feel like a blurr sometimes Smile It's gotten to the point now where I never know who is going to be home for dinner and who is not. The younger two are always of course, but the two older ones I just never know.

I'm really enjoying the time with my daughter now...we go shopping just her and I and sometimes Bingo now that she is able to go. I think she is starting to realize I'm not such a big meanie LOL!

Montana, I'll let you know if I ever get there Smile I'm trying to convince hubby to drive out there and camp along the way. I would also like to go out west the same way. I think it would be a great family vacation. Smile

We haven't done that in a while, but I love road trips where you camp part of the time and stop at a motel every couple of days. The packing is difficult but you get to see so much. Do you think the older ones would go, though? Mine would "opt out"! Lunch or shopping is one thing... a long time in the car together..... uhhhhhhhhh.

I'm not sure, but I'm not going with them all unless we have a camper you can drive. Probably by the time we get to do it the older ones will be too old to want to come and probably have their own cars. Yeahhh! Smile

We did a trip last spring where the kids went in one car, we went in another. That worked pretty well. We went a few days early... they came along later with the dogs. It was fun except I worried about accidents, of course... and they got lost going home. (They didn't listen to my directions.) Luckily we had cell phones.
