what other things should i be taking or eating other than folic acid to get my body ready to conceive?

Mostly just a healthy range. Fruits, vegetables, protein, the usual.

You don't want to be too skinny or too fat (the first is more about your ability to get pregnant, the second is more about the health of the baby). But if you're in a healthy weight range and you're eating a healthy diet, you're good to go.

You need to have healthy range of foods during pregnancy like Eggs, salmon, beans, sweet potatoes. During pregnancy you will need protein and calcium for your babies tissues and bones.
