Antinatalism Has Its Merits

Let's talk about antinatalism.

It is my contention that procreation is a selfish and aggressive act that can never be rooted in the interests of the child you are bringing into existence.

Your move...

@Shattered Glass,
I do agree with you on this issue. In the past few months I have read the works of Arthur Schopenhauer and views regarding this issue. I plan to pick up David Benatar(*) on the same issue.

This view is not very popular and I'm still single in my mid thirties because I wont' want to necessarily have kids based on the current state of affairs in the world. There is a lot of suffering in the world today (wars, hunger, famine, etc).

@eusebius,
Hey Eusebius,

Check out my youtube channel: DerivedEnergy if you want. At the moment, I'm combining the Benatarian assymetry with the use of discourse results and I'm getting some very revealing results.

It's clear to me that even the most happy and best lives imaginable are utterly pointless. Everyone recognises this but it's generally hidden under some primitive and crude psychological defence mechanisms such as projection.

I got banned from a philosophy forum recently because people just can't cope with my arguments any more. It was kind of gratifying.

Take care

This is my position:

I've read my David Hume and I understand the need for caution when making profound statements on human existence but there's only one possible conclusion that can be made here. The world at large is utterly enslaved and engripped by an even more horrifically insidious and pernicious meme than organised religeon that makes the witch burning craze during the Middle Ages seem like a trivial little hiccup in mankind's uniformally repugnant and madness-infested past by comparison.''

Conclusion: Procreation is a selfish and aggressive act which is always rooted in the interests of the mother and father or in the interests of a wider social context, it can NEVER be in the interests of the person you are bringing into existence and anyone who makes such a blatantly absurd claim is insulting my intelligence.

No one wants to debate with me. I promise I'll be gentle..
