osso, I just received this in my email box. Thought you and your niece might enjoy it.

This was written by a black guy in Texas.

What a great sense of humor!

When I born, I black.

When I grow up, I black.

When I go in sun, I black.

When I cold, I black.

When I scared, I black.

When I sick, I black.

And when I die, I still black.....

You white folks......

When you born, you pink.

When you grow up, you white.

When you go in sun, you red.

When you cold, you blue.

When you scared, you yellow.

When you sick, you green.

When you bruised, you purple.

And when you die, you gray.

So who you callin' colored ?!?!

Hi Monger, A little off topic, but my wife and I are going to visit Japan from March 25 to April 5 on a Buddhist Pilgramage in the Kinki Region to visit 33 temples. A Buddhist Preist is going to be our tour guide, and as of last count there will be 13 of us. Looking forward to visiting Japan again. This will undoubtedly be only an appetizer, and will follow up with another visit soon. Our first visit was in 1982 so I'm sure many changes have transpired.

Hey bigdice! I didn't realize you were in Balingen. I lived in Meßstetten for a few years. That's a really nice area. Wink

Fishin', that's really cool! If you ever come to visit again, let us know!

Cool, CI. I've never actually been to any of the more famous temples or castles here. I hope ya have a great time! As a side note, I've always thought "the Kinki Region" is such a fabulous name. Laughing At least it's not as strange as Humptulips, USA (It's in Washington) or Wet Beaver Creek, Australia. Razz

Me's hoping to move to the States right around that same time you're coming here, but that depends on some things.

I strongly recommend Hokkaido Highway Blues by Will Ferguson for a funny, intelligent, North American take on Japan. He visits some of the pilgrimage temples. Easy and engaging reading!
