My answer has already gone and unfortunately the clue list for this puzzle with it.
HOWEVER if you had supplied the number of letters including those you have ,I might have remembered.

Thanks PaddyH, it has 6 letters, "r-d--s" I have been stuck with this clue before, and for the life of me still can't memorize it.
