Natural Vs artificial environment.

I feel a part of the natural environment. Leaving aside christian prejudices, man is an animal, and therefore a part of the natural environment. One might allege that houses, cities, automobiles, etc. are the products of artifice, and therefore artificial--but i would then ask if a bird's nest is not a product of artifice, and therefore artificial as opposed to natural. Frankly, i find such distinctions meaningless.
