Which one of the verbs do you think is correct

Majority of the banks uses/use technology to reach out to those living in rural areas.

The majority of the banks use technology to reach out to those living in rural areas.

The subject (banks) is plural, therefore, the verb must agree in number. "Uses" is singular, "use" is plural, so you want use to agree with banks. You also wanted an article before majority. I used "the" but you could also use "a."

Yeah, i'd go along with that. I was raised in a very small town, and there was one of those small town banks there, of the kind which the big banks began to snap up in the 1970s and -80s. Several years ago, though, i was surprised to learn that it was still independent, and still doing well. It has been founded in the 1870s to serve the community, and was apparently still doing so a hundred years later.

One of those exceptions which prove the rule.
