What's the best lesson you've ever learnt?

Best lesson from work - patience
From education - it's a survival tool
From people - they have tremendous power to hurt if you care too much
From mistake - don't make it again
From conflict - if you mean war, it rarely changes anything
Best lesson from life - don't put off anything that's important to you
That self esteem, confidence, ability and drive are more important than looks

Don 't RISK more than u r willing to lose.
(That includes not going around promiscuously trusting people.)

And never, ever trust anyone who only has "your best interests at heart".

Yeah and don 't even consider trusting anyone who is unarmed. Thay r too sneeeaky.

Can you be guarded instead armed?
I understand it is important to be street wise and be guarded within reasons but I can't see why one should be armed to go around.
