The head of on is 'O' which when put in LAD is LOAD meaning to put rounds in guns.

@moosh72,
Hi moosh 72
I say 68a is shattered as "that's" =shatt and "deer" =ered giving you shattered.
That is what I worked it out to be, would like to know your thoughts Dutchy.
Also would appreciate some help with
7a a scale with shocking implications
14a Bearing seed to be scattered according to requirements
22a Before the end of the world, turn to the Almighty
9d he is off to play

Many thanks Marg

@margarms,
Hi margarms

I feel your argument for shatter (68a)is a valid one. I picked scatter because it is a synonym of disintegrate which in turn is a synonym of fall to pieces.
I have the following for your other queries:
7a = RICHTER
14a = NEEDS
22a = GOD
9d = THEATREGOER
Hope this helps.

@Dutchy,
Hi Dutchy,
many thanks for the assistance and will be interesting to see whether Christine has shattered or scattered as both can be logically explained.
Cheers Marg
