This could (just could) be the FIRST Mega Stinker I've ever been able to complete. Have literally knocked myself out, but still stuck on five.
45a: early electronic instrument. T---EMIN.
90a: drops hint. ANT-P-TES.
2d: embellish. E-A--E-A-.
76d: foreshadow. Is this AUSPICATE?
113d: garrulous. P-O-IX (matches up with 141a: phlox).
