What is the significance of a star on a house?

@Merry Andrew,
Y'all sure can dance. Can't anyone come up with something honorable?

What did happen here? What the heck, I'm still thinking stars on houses.
We went to a really beautiful water garden/nursery place yesterday because I remembered seeing a rather different sort of star, as for hanging on houses. It was goldish/bronze surrounded by a circle. It's hanging on the flag pole hook right now but we'll hang it tomorrow. Seems to look best on the brick where it looks terribly stark, beside the door.

Hooray for stars on houses! Now, what did Layla say?

@Pemerson,
Sounds lovely, Pemerson. Maybe a pic once you get it mounted?

@Pemerson,
Some bonehead was going on and on about some crap - I didn't really read it as it was some rant and rave while all I am asking about is about a star. He mentioned something about Layla being upset at what the US has done to her or something.

But I bet the star will look nice.

uh, hummm, I uploaded what I thought was an improvement but it's proving to be a hindrance, big way. I'm being told I cannot post photos to a web site except thru MSN and must also use BING as my search engine, and basically turn my emailing over to MSN. So, I'm attempting to get this thing out of my computer without much luck. I"ll keep trying, Squinny.

@Linkat,
Don't give it a second thought, Linkat. Innocent people dying, people being blown to bits, children being born deformed from the US using depleted uranium, none of this is anywhere near as important as decorating homes with stars.

@Pemerson,
Stars on houses are imporant here. Read the title.
So, here is the star on my house, though I didn't mean to show it to the world.

I think it's a star put on the homes of decent Americans (you know republicans) so that when Obama sends the Dark Angel of Death they will be passed over.

Could also be the star represents the lone star state, where once Texans were treated like dirt by those farther on down south. Too poor, too Irish, until oil was found beneath this enormous state, and Texans became proud.

@JTT,
Whew - thank goodness I got your approval on that. I was really worried that I was discussing something wrong. I was up all night wondering about it.

Texas has never been considered southern U.S., but southwest, at least when your standing in Texas. I refer, of course to the south and deep south of U.S. I'm sure you're not trying to be a smart ass.
