smoky pulled one outta an old box to show me his camera.

my jaw dropped. it opens up and the lens slides forward with a bellows. you slip the viewer around into position, and shoot. wide angle pix. leather, brass, and wood construction...

anyone know what it might be worth, or how old it is?

what kinda film did it use?

The "616" designates the film it used. I've heard that some people have modified this format to use 120 film which is still available.

Here's a pretty comprehensive list of Kodak camera values: http://www.kodakcollector.nl/joomla/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=24&Itemid=41

What a fun find!

@boomerang,
I think it's a 1-a folding pocket special.

@Rockhead,
Why aren't you the crafty/ingenuitive (to coin a word) bloke. I wish you a successful and artistic set of experiments. Gives us a peek of your up and coming gallery exhibit after you take a few preliminary photographs.

@Rockhead,
I think this is great, especially if it's modifiable to take 120 film..
