To be more precise: a new Arctic conflict is looming ahead. If a certain agreement between Denmark, Norway, Canada and the US on the division of the Arctic physical properties exists indeed, as it was reported not only once in different Medias, then one can forget all about it. In fact, after the appearance of information about significant hydrocarbons pool in the area which according to the agreement belongs to Norway, the States suddenly decided to reconsider its previous conditions (worth noticing that it was exactly US who initiated all that) and now they insist on another way of Arctic division. Still haven’t heard yet any comments from the other participators of so-called ‘unpublished agreement’ but I guess that not only Norway will be among the displeased. Well, hope we’ll see it soon.
Generally speaking all that Arctic mess sometimes reminds me real circus. Look, here’re intrigues, scandals and collusions… lol Why won’t they just take the length of the coast line of each of the countries as an objective criterion for the division?? I suppose it to be reasonable enough here. Finally, that won’t give rise to any conflict imho.
@Grimsy2,
Also very concerning is the conflict over how we divide up the Milky Way galaxy.
Once again, the Danes show their butts.
@Arjuna,
Could this be a potential answer?
