Some Quality Me Time

squinney has gone to her sisters in Charlotte and left me alone with the cubs.

So far it's been video games and delivery pizza.

The two younger cubs are on their way to bed and Stephen II is watching W.W.E. and anxiously awaiting Goldberg to disembowel some neanderthal.

As for me, I'll give it a little time to make sure the lil cubs are asleep, then sneak into the master bath, turn on the exhaust fan and get stoned.

Then I'll crawl into the king size bed and stretch out completely and order up this weeks Carnivale on HBO. When that's over, out come the porn dvds.

I wonder if I could get any of the A2K babes to whisper something sexy, suggestive or outright perverse and vulgar in my ear?

Help a Bear out would ya? This opportunity doesn't come around every day. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil  Razz

I can give you unsolicited advice, does that count as 'suggestive'?

My feminine side says 'well, hello.'
My masculine side flinches, and says cautiously 'have a good time.' Laughing

Carnivale's brilliant; unfortunately we don't have it over here in England, so I've had to rely on videos from a friend over in the States...

Really? Do you think that the ex with whom you had the worst experience, if such a thing exists?

Have you ever been on TV, bear, with the band or on your own? The nearest I came to getting recognised in TV was before I went back to University, when in an episode of Simon Munnery's Either/Or- the weirdest show ever made-, I- a bewildered assistant- was asked to play the piano in a rehearsal because the other guy was ill; he came back before the actual broadcast, though. I was on radio a lot, and still am; they asked me so that they could have someone to wind the royalists/PC brigade/government supporters up. Oh, and I did work as an extra, to earn money... of course, it cost just as much to get down to London as the wages that they paid us, but we seemed to think that the free booze and possibility of earning £10 after buying the tickets was worth it.

I have been on tv many times...although not nationally. at the height of the karaoke craze...(I also own a karaoke service company) I had my own weekly tv show here in Raleigh for awhile.....couldn't go out to eat or walk in the mall without being recognized and stopped......I often wonder what it must be like to be a REAL Mick Jagger type celebrity......because I have a pretty high profile I'm getting stopped by people all the time....I also a few years ago was on the news on a couple of local channels when, at a public hearing with the school board about unpopular redistricting issues I stood and told the school board members what no one else had the balls to...that they were just plain lying and they were just plain liars...up until that point I had trekked to Greensboro every year to do a big dance for all the high up school board muckity mucks in the state....i lost the job after that....can you imagine  ...I still have video of these folks in long gowns and tuxedos where I had the men lie on the dance floor on their stomachs, had the women hike up their dresses and stand on 'em....and then played Wipe Out and had the ladies surf 'em.....I look at it once in awhile, especially after one of these stuffed shirts has been on tv talking about what caring people they are and how concerned they are about our children which is bullshit....

Wow. Do people still reckognise you from your TV show? What was it basically about; music, giving bands a break?

TV is a walking contradiction, made thus by the execs. What it all comes down to is money and acceptance. Do you know, in England, most of the BBC is on cocaine, and yet they continue to get up on their high horse when others use it? Hypocrisy always makes a minor trangression into a moral crime.

I'm proud of what you did; we need more people willing to tell the truth. But you, like me, will find that people want not the truth, but to be told more lies, and carried further away. So, would you want to go back into the TV business, or have these kind of occurances spoilt your appetite? What would be your ideal show that you would host, if an executive were to give you complete lease over everything, without censorship?
