That's quite a list of denials of rights!
In the second opinion, the Mississippi Supreme Court reiterates half of the points it raised in its first opinion.
In the third opinion, it concentrates on juror selection and finds that it was, indeed, racist.
(sorry, I don't have the energy right now to write an exhaustive summary of the cases.)
But throughout this whole chain of trials, there seems to be an extensive pattern of incompetence, theatrics, and racism on the side of the prosecution. And unless Kris's friend's friends are spinning the events of the the seventh trial in a major way, it's happening all over again. This is headed right back to the Supreme Court---and back again for an eighth re-trial.
