Is there a bicycle brand or a model known as "treefrog"?

Mo's bike has gone missing. I think it was some spring break prankers who rolled it off the porch and ditched it in the neighborhood.

We want to make a flyer so if anyone sees it they can call us.

I thought the bike was called a "Treefrog" but a Google search doesn't come up with anything so I'm not sure how to accurately describe the bike.

I know the bike had a frog logo/emblem on the top tube of the frame.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks!

Nope.

I bought it at a garage sale last year.

I was hoping it would get him through another year but if we can't find this one I'm afraid I'll have to find another one -- he's at the age where a kid needs a bike.

@boomerang,
There is a Seattle Leapfrog. It was apparently designed to be retailed in the $2000 - $3000 range.

@Rockhead,
ha! that is pretty much the trade-in value I got on my 14 y.o. Civic last year

Ohhhh. That's pretty close ehBeth! Mo's is more of a mountain bike but that at least gives me a clue as the frog type logo is very similar to what I remember being on Mo's bike.

I drove around a bit today checking out the most likely spots for someone to dump a bike but no luck.

I've got one more place to check and the sun is out and the dog needs a walk so I'm as good as gone!

<sigh>

I walked miles along the neighborhood creek today with no luck.

Diamond the dog feels very lucky about the outing though!

My last hope -- that someone had turned it into the school soured when nothing in their found bicycle stash matched our lost bike.

<sigh>

@boomerang,
Have you checked craigslist?

There's a case here locally where a stroller was stolen off a porch - the dad found it on craigslist - arranged to view it with 'an eye to purchasing' - the thieves were arrested.

@ehBeth,
I've checked their lost and found section.

But really, there isn't any way to prove the bike is Mo's even if I did see it listed.

And if I'm going to have to buy a bike I'm going to get him a bigger one.

It's just such a drag that it was a pretty good bike that I found for dirt cheap that would have lasted us a while longer. This time of year bikes don't so up so much at Goodwill, etc.
