Has anyone used an online site to make a photo book? I know you can use places where you already store your photos, like Kodak. I don't have my photos on line at a site like that and am looking for a more generic photo-gift seller. Any ideas? Are any of these more user-friendly than the others? I just tried one and jumped off of it because it was frustrating.

@littlek,
I know Shutterfly has them but I haven't used them yet. I've been impressed with other stuff they've done though.

@littlek,
I think onyxelle has some expertise in this. Scrapbooking, I mean. In fact, I think she even had a website on the subject.

@littlek,
Hey K

I did this one very quickly before Christmas... fast delivery... I got I think 40% off on a deal they had going at the time...

click on book and full screen

they made a mistake, a page wasn't bound correctly and they sent me a whole new book.

Be much cheaper Stateside.

I've got a book about 80% complete on shutterfly. I'll look into Photobox tomorrow. Hey, what are you doing awake?!

@littlek,
I've made about a dozen photobooks on Shutterfly. It is easy, reasonably priced and you can ship to anywhere. I made one for Mother's day and shipped it to Mom, went in, changed the cover and shipped one to Dad for Father's Day. I gave my wife three for Christmas. Great service.

I have a similar situation. In the past I've liked shutterfly. I have a few albums there which I can share with people. Now I have a couple dozen album pages of photos from the 1930s and 1940s that my grandparents had collected. I have scanned each page (well, most of them). I want to be able to put them online for my family to access. Ideally they'd not lose quality during the transfer (they're fairly low quality already due primarily to age). Also, I want to be able to add info to the photos - archive them with family names and history. This could be as a caption or as a scroll-over field. I am thinking I'll go with shutterfly unless someone here has a better idea.
