Looking for a "key".

A friend hid a key somewhere and here are two clues he gave me. I need help.

The "key" is in a place accessible to all at any time.
You hear those of my kind but never hear me.

I mean the "key" is hidden somewhere in radio waves.

Radio waves are accessable to all.

You hear humans (others like me) but not the person asking the question (but not me).
