Don't eat late in the evening.
Walk the dog every day after my snooze.
Re-runs of South Park are not worth re-watching.
Make an appointment to see the doctor.
Get some moccasin style leather shoes.
Try and find my TI & Sharp calculators; maybe I loaned them to students?

Well yes & no.

Modern engine oils do not requires oil changes as often as many might believe, and many manufacturers of gas engines specify oil changes at shorter durations than need be to avoid even a hint of warranty/legal issues.

Then of course there is the environmental impact of all the waste oil (often needlessly changed). In fact if an engine oil becomes dark it means it's doing its job of suspending particulates, it is not a sign the oil needs to be changed.

A simple point of fact addresses the issue: there are almost no oil-related failures with a modern engine using modern oil. In fact the body is likely to wear out well before the engine does.

My notes to self:
-Ring niece to discuss the information the doctor gave me about the deterioration in my mother's condition.
- take the (suddenly not working) slow cooker back to Kmart this weekend. The warranty has not run out.
- Pay car insurance. (One day overdue!)
- Make appointment for breast scan & do it! (or those good folk who run the service will keep hassling you about being late, msolga.)
- Buy birthday gift for M this weekend. Something nice.
- Return books & audio books to library this weekend
- Return the big blue serving dish when I visit C tonight.

Oops! I though this was a notes for self for anyone & everyone, Chumly.
Then it occurred to me that maybe it was meant just notes from you to you. If that's the case, oops & sorry!

@Chumly,
What about the carbonising of oil increasing due to a higher level of suspension particles ? Or wear increasing because the particles are now making contact as well as the oil ? Or harder particles making contact with softer wear areas ?

@Ionus,
OK let's have a look see:

The "carbonising of oil" (spelled carbonizing) would not likely be from "a higher level of suspension particles" but more likely from excess heat (assuming such carbonizing was to take place) and I am not suggesting it necessarily would by any consequential amount over the life-span of the oil under normal operating conditions).

The "wear increasing because the particles are now making contact as well as the oil" is not the case by any great amount as the oil filter removes the particulates that could cause the wear you refer to, in fact suspending the smaller particles is less problematic then the alternative (that being sludge).

Bottom line as discussed, the oil-related engine failures with modern oils and modern engines are few and far between.

Remove anti-fatigue mat to stop the static electricity as I keep getting zapped when I touch the metal white-board ledge in class.

Go home, have snooze, watch the History Channel on the tube, watch some geometry videos.

Switch from Nivea to Jojoba oil.
Wrap tin foil around the dry-erase markers to shunt out the static electricity and bring a humidifier to reduce initial build up of static electricity.

I fixed a couple of cracked plastic desk lamp swivel bases with super glue, and I felt bad that perhaps the fix will not last...don't be so hard on yourself for the limitations of modern adhesives, especially considering the swivel bases themselves tend to crack due to an inadequate design.

@Rockhead,
The polar opposite due to my mother in law's transitional health concerns, two days this week in Supreme Court due to an annoying family matter and a busy teaching schedule; it's at these times I look to engage myself with simpler things having simpler levels of achievability.
