Are there any free sites that I can find information on how a person I knew died? I can't aford Ancestry.com right now. I have the persons name, address, and fathers name! Thanks for any help!

Why don't you call the town clerk for the town where the person died.
In fact, the town clerk may even have an online public records request form as well.

Drive over and ask the neighbours. Or if it's too far for your level of interest ring the local newsagent where the person lived.
If you do ring the Town Clerk I would have a ready answer if he asks why you wish to know.

It's to far for me to drive there. I live in suburban Baltimore Maryland and the person I'm trying to get information on lived in Tuscaloosa Alabama!
I entered free online genealogy records into Google and got back over 15 million listings. I even found a web site for my family name.
