I'm having a bit of difficulty with some answers that won't come to me!!
46a - a short distance in the wind: a-o-t
45a - Company must end recycling of office papers: d-c---n-s
I would really appreciate some help. Thank you

@anng,
afoot - a short distance (foot) - straight clue ' in the wind'
documents - co must end : anagram indicated by recycling - straight clue 'office papers'

That's the answer I have and sticking to!
@Dutchy,
Have to go with oo-er here.
A Short distance
(foot) = in the wind (as in "something's afoot Watson!" ).
Happy New Year everyone!
@Dutchy,
well 'loft' isnt a short distance and 'in the wind' is not necessarily aloft whereas
a foot is 'a short distance' and colloquially 'in the wind'
go ask lmur
@oolongteasup,
Thank you guys, your advice is appreciated.
Happy New Year paddy boy.
@Dutchy,
