I didn't make a post, but I hope this helps.
My uncle Gene pulled duty at New Guinea
w/the Thirty Second division. Killed
a sniper, and went through the guy's
pockets. Mistake. Saw the family photos
in his wallet. They never left his mind
till his dying day. I was the only relative
to talk it out with him. You see, he was a
farmer, not a rifleman, and only his older
brother escaped the draft.
