Hi there,
I need help please with my last two answers. They are probably really simple but I am having a touch of brain fog
'European Union' - is it EEU or EEC (Is there a definitive answer?)
'Wooden antique bric-a-brac" ( I have _REEN)
If you can help, I would be sincerely grateful.
@helyn2001,
EEC European Economic Community & treen. As I haven't got this one I would wait for someone to confirm.
Good luck.
Shirlz.
@shirlz,
I'll second shirlz's submissions.
Good luck.
The abbreviation in English of the European Union is "EU". "EEC" is the abbreviation of "European Economic Community". Which was a kind of union (not the Union).
The EU was established by the Treaty of Maastricht on 1 November 1993 upon the foundations of the pre-existing European Economic Community.
So to be correct the clue should spell the word 'union' with a small 'u'.
Small wooden bric-a-brac (actually table utensils) are TREEN.
To Shirlz, Dutchy and Contrex,
You have saved my bacon one again. I can always count on this site if I'm in trouble!
Many thanks!!!!
