It's been a few years since I've bought new shoes. I've been buying mine on line from Knapp Shoes in Brockton, Mass plus they were sending me a catalog in the mail. I can't find the factory on line anymore. What's up? Does anyone know! Thanks!

@Victor Murphy,
Seems all the shoe factories have closed up in Brockton. I actually wrote a thread on FootJoy which was the last one in Brockton and it was closing up its factory. I worked there a couple of summers. Most likely the factory moved to India or was bought up by another company.

@Linkat,
In the past, I have worked at two shoe factory's here, near Baltimore. They both closed up. I think that Bata went overseas!

@Region Philbis,
Must be an old article - states that Footjoy is still there - which it is no longer. I actually drove by the closed Footjoy factory this morning.

I like the utopian workplace description - now Brockton is a Utopian drug and gang mecca.
