Does anyone know if one's diet should change after the gall bladder removal op, I am currently experiencing severe loose stools after every meal, has anyone else experienced this at all?
@kim1969,
Hi kim
I experienced loose stools when my gall bladder was removed only if I ate beef. It probably depends on the individual on what food your system can or can't tolerate. Small meals are probably preferable at first. After about 5 years I could eat beef again.
If you are really concerned and it continues to be a problem for you, then I suggest you contact your doctor.
@kim1969,
yes. If your doctor did not go over this subject with you then you should not be happy. There is plenty of info on the internet about diet after gallbladder removal.
Basically you lost the ability to eat lots of fats. It will take a year for your digestive track to settle down, after that you will see no more improvement.
