I was told it was an "object/device", that it "maybe can be found in sport arenas", and that it's something everyone should know of. It's a noun/verb. Apparently it would be more correct to say "You don't need a ___" instead of "you don't need me"

Alright, more information
Grammatically it'd be "you don't need a ____ to ____, but some people can't ____ without a _____"
And it's in relation to things some people can't do, like rolling their tongue or snapping their fingers
