Hijab with rabbit ears, haram ?

I thought it was against Muslim beliefs to reproduce images of humans or animals in case they might become objects of worship. I remember the story of a little girl being beaten by men of the Taliban (granted Islam to the extreme) for carrying a school bag that had a Hello Kitty motif.

I think that's more a Sunni interpretation.
