I have completed all clues except 5d and 39a in the Giant Cryptic 68, and simply can't find the logical answer for these two. Would appreciate some help figuring them out.

5d - exotic case of cards
39a - a bad example of vintage

Many thanks! :-)

@Tga Suse,
Hi Tga Suse

5d = ACES (anagram of case)

39a = AGE (old as represented by vintage I guess)

Good luck.

@Dutchy,
ah, thank you. I missed the anagram - duh. But I have 32d wrong, as I put in cheered ... back to the drawing board. :-)

@Tga Suse,
... and have just realised it should have been cleared, for exonerated. Gad. Some days the dots just do not connect!

Thanks for your help, Dutchy.
