Has anyone worked out the answer for 52 down?
clue is Sicilian WWII Allied Airbase?

Pantelleria is actually an island in the Mediterranean between Sicily and Cape Bon in Tunisia; I suppose they call it "Sicilian" because administratively it belongs to the Sicilian province of Trapani.
