@Dutchy,
Hi Dutchy and maggies,
Didn't keep a copy but I had "DEWY" for that one. Can either of you (or anyone) confirm the clue yielding the "y" (or "i")?

@lmur,
Hi Lmur
178d = shiftier, for which you obviously have slyer. Upto now I have slier, because I have demi for lustrous (complexion). I can link 'demi' to lustrous but can't link 'dewy' to lustrous.

Show me the reference and connection and I'll happily change my entry to "dewy" . Show us your Irish wisdom. Smile Smile

ps. I'm at the moment 500 miles from home, using an old slow laptop when it is availabe, and have no reference books or my usual reference sites with me, so I'm a little handicapped. One thing I can tell you though, the fish are biting well, and my fridge will be full with seafood by the time I return home. Smile

@Dutchy,
Hi Dutchy
I also have dewy for 193a, I am sure I have heard it on ads for face creams etc.
Glad you have been catching some fish.

@Dutchy,
Hi Dutchy,
Glad the fish are biting. I'm with jacaranda on this one. Dewy is a term often referred to regarding our lustrous complexions, so at 103a I have DEWY, and at 178d I have SLYER.
Have a great holiday.

@contrex,
Stick 'lustrous complexion demi' in Google and you'll get 3 sites.

I actually got 6,900 hits with that, and all the ones where complexion and demi were included were ads for cosmetics which were "demi-matte" or "demi creme".

Demi means "half".

@Dutchy,
Hi Dutchy,
If you type "Dewy Makeup" in the Google search you will find that the word "Dewy" comes up numerous times when referring to complexion.

@maggies,
Dewy completion is the correct answer it is commonly associated with the skin, a "soft dewy completion" is an often used phrase.
