@farkha,
Hi farkha

I spent some considerable time checking all the words you can make from OE?, there are 29 altogether. Have checked every one of them against your clue but none meet your criteria. OED is about the closest, meaning 'old english dictionary'.
1. oe-
2. oe1
3. oe3
4. oe6
5. oea
6. oeb
7. oec
8. oed
9. oee
10. oef
11. oeg
12. oeh
13. oei
14. oej
15. oek
16. oel
17. oem
18. oen
19. oeo
20. oep
21. oeq
22. oer
23. oes
24. oet
25. oeu
26. oev
27. oew
28. oex
29. oez

Sorry I can't help you any further at this stage.

@Dutchy,
OED is what I have as well. It is considered the "bible" of dictionaries after all!

Farkha - what do you have for GEODE? Is it "DOUSE"?

@Dutchy,
Dutchy, Imur,
Thanks both. Though I was partial to OED, I took a chance of a more educated input. Cheers
