Hi This is the first cryptic I have nearly finished I don't usually do them but I have a couple that I am having trouble with, probably made some mistakes, so if anyone can help me that would be great.
19a supporting wires in old-fashioned corsets - S?A?S
33d fellow writer half-completes section of book - C?I?T?R
71d find six on a street in italy - V??
74a rail commuters go by with fresh greens - ???S???E?S
also is 12a answer PEASHOOTERS - wild apes and owls use them to launch spitballs

Thanks for that if 39a is CHARACTER then I have 27d and 37d wrong too. They are:
27d take different action due to training ?D?C?T?O?
is it EDUCATION?
and I think I worked out 37d TRUTH

EDUCATION (an anagram of "action due) and TRUTH (ruth + first letter of "the") are correct, moosh72 (or, at least, that's what I have!)
EDIT: I see dutchy has the same answers - always a good sign!
