i have been racking my brains and come up blank with the last 2 here. i am hoping someone can help me and give me explanations to the answers...

17a A little flower (5) ??T?S
17d Bishop finally tries to transfer cleric (6) ??I?O?

it is likely that i have a letter or two wrong but i am stumped.

Hi Lones78

17a = PETAL , which is a little flower. For 17d you should have LONELY.

17d = PRIEST, which is a cleric. For 25a you should have ENDORSE.

that's for the heads up on the wrong answers i had as well. that's what i get for trying to do a cryptic at midnight whilst feeding a new baby!
