some ass clown, just out of maliciousness...pulled all the knobs off one of my mixers I left in a corner at a gig.

Here is your curse.

May you live to bury one of your children.

I wouldnt wish that curse on my worst enemy.

If you ever have to go thru that, you will understand the pain it causes.

Retract that curse.

Wow that's harsh.

But someone that stupid, you would hope would never pass their retarded genes onto someone else.

I'm waiting for my first gear theft/vanadalized experience. Of course, I have to stop getting so smashed and leaving my $1700 bass behind for my bandmates to take home for me. So I'm probably my biggest fear right now.

it was just a cathartic thing. I didn't really wish it on them. MM you still don't tell me how to conduct myself.

@shewolfnm,
it is a pain in the butt, but knobs can be replaced. the price of the mixer is not relevant, only the time/money price of finding/getting new knobs is.

@hawkeye10,
yes. And no.

Some mixers , because things can go obsolete in -seconds- do not have an option for purchasing replacement parts.

Or, if they do offer them.. you will pay out the nose. Not always mind you...

But the issue is that some kid ( im going to assume) thought it funny to cost someone money.
Granted, this kid did not have it in mind that he was deliberately costing someone cash ... he/she probably thought it was just funny.

Being self employed, even if it is a measly ( to some) 30.00 in replacement parts, or a thousand dollars in replacement parts.. that is a pay cut for that job. There is just no way around that. And no one should have to pay for someone elses joke.

Now because of missing knobs, he can not use that mixer. If he has a job tomorrow... and needed that.. he is now fucked out of THAT income too. So his 30.00 ( guessing at the cost here) replacement knob can easily become a several HUNDRED dollar replacement by losing work centered around his equipment.

of course.. I probably didnt need to 'splain all that. Laughing
