Area Codes

I just had a number on my caller ID, area code 271. I did not answer the phone, because I thought it strange, and I have never had a call with such a number in the past. I searched it online and could not find a 271. Any idea what that's about?

@Region Philbis,
I couldn't get anywhere with it. I did read that solicitors can employ phony area codes. Oh well.

@Region Philbis,
Me neither, Region. There is no area code 271 in either Alberta, Canada or Montana, USA.

@CalamityJane,
Once nice thing about living in a non-swing state is that we don't get pestered during the elections (we did during the primaries).

@littlek,
No need to bother me. I voted long ago. We over 66ers get to vote very early, by mail.

@edgarblythe,
Phone banks don't know you've already voted.... or do they?

Republican phone banks know who you've voted for, who they've changed the vote to and whether you wear briefs or boxers.

@JTT,
Mine was by paper, X the square to vote for one party's candidates and mail it.

Edgar, I'm glad you asked. That call came from the building below:

They have a little job for you. The place needs a small fix-up. The pay is good.

The area codes in WA are: 206, 253, 360, 425, 509 & 564. I never came across 271 before

@edgarblythe,
Edgar, did you answer when they phoned back, and did you take the job?
