How would you compare and contrast the official sources of crime statistics with more unofficial sources: For example, comparing the Uniform Crime Reports (UCR) data with self-report surveys or prisoner interviews, possible causes of the large disparity between official sources of crime statistics and the results of these other statistics projects and how the collection and reporting of crime statistics could be modified to better account for the so-called dark figure of crime in the United States.
