You must be more specific. How much land will the house sit on? How many people will live there? Will they live and work from this place, or travel to their workplace? What aspects of your life are important? Do you want everyone to be able to gather in the kitchen, or do you want to keep that space private and entertain and visit in another room?
A house and its dimensions can vary vastly from place to place and time to time. Some people find two small rooms sufficient, one for sleeping and one for everything else. Others want a special room for everything.
