I've been reading about Cindy McCain, because up to this point, all I knew was the negative information in the media. She seemed like a caricature of a bored socialite; into prescribed drugs, a trophy wife, an heiress... So, I read, and I think she deserves to have her story told. I'll be bringing articles and info.
No time to read all the links but I'll get to them. Meanwhile, Cindy is quite a remarkable lady. She doesn't seek the limelight, would probably be more like an unassertive Laura Bush as First Lady doing a lot of good stuff behind the scenes. She seems to be pretty unspoiled by her financial blessings. She seems to truly want to make a difference while not seeking fame and glory in the process. She freely admits her past addiction to prescription drugs and speaks openly about that both to continue her own recovery and to help others.
I think she would be a tremendous asset and in no way an embarrassment as First Lady.

If McCain were elected, would C McC be the first daughter of a convicted felon with mob connections to become first lady?
Jeeze, that doesn't say much for the much vaunted American system of righteousness and the rule of law, does it, Lash?
Had C McC gone thru the same legal process as others who steal drugs and embezzle, and been convicted, would she have been allowed to be first lady? Could a convicted felon be first lady? Would she have been allowed to vote?
I don't know who you think holds America's system of justice in the vaunted category. Certainly not me. It's for sale...as those Clinton pardoned certainly know.
