Actually, the first two lines came to me about twenty minutes before midnight. The payoff line was a last minute inspiration though, and really, that is what makes it work, isn't it?

How odd...I have been thinking about the name of that album a lot lately.

Went to visit Daughter yesterday. She wasn't having the greatest day.

I reminded her that it was her luckiest of luckiest days.

She has always claimed her lucky number is 8. One day when she was talking about it with a friend, I realized she had picked 8 without any knowledge of its history.

She was conceived 08-08-88. She was born 2/14, which in numerology is two eights....( 2+14 = 16) and she was born 8 minutes into Valentines Day at 12:08am.

Don't know if she bought a lottery ticket or if her day got any better, but I imagine it did just from the reminder that it was "her day."
