Um. Thats pretty much it.

My first time on 6th street... number ONE.. Im too old for it
But.. it was fun none the less.

In that bar, there are 3 or 4 women who dance on the bar to what ever is playing at the time.
They did a Tina Turner song, Smokey Robinson, and a few other newer pop songs. Then they invite others on the bar and one of the women I was with apparently went up before so they recognized her.

Then.. there are a few men who sit at the bar watching these ladies dance.
THEY know.. I guess.. that part of the show is to be spanked.
Literally.

that was my first thought, then I said....naw....not the Blanton.

I love that place.

My favorite piece is "how to build a cathedral" where all these pennies cover the floor, and a column of communion wafter reach up to a ceiling of bones.

Those bones are real too.


Then they have this room of huge body statues and full busts that is really neat to.

Apparently, this happens once a month.

Free food, full bar on the bottom floor, drum circles and music outside the museum, and tours every 30 minutes.

It was boring mostly because everyone was just standing around looking at each other. And unless you wanted to drink, there was nothing to really do beyond the tour.

So we went on the tour by ourselves.. then went outside, then to 6th street.


I may go to Blanton next month

It is... ODD .. in person.
Sadly, I think it was the only really interesting piece.

There were so many.. canvases just covered with splatters of paint.

A cool little GTO made out of paper mache I think about 4 feet high and 4 feet long, hmm.. thats about all that caught my eye..

Yup , yup. Plan on doing that again......THAT.. was really fun. But I have to go before the tweenager crowd sets in. Then.. it s not so fun. But in a group of adults, where Im probably one of the younger ones..

I can see that now. What I write here, and who I am are really two different things, but the joking, the off the wall comments...well.. those are the same.
