I have a friend who we always. take out to dinner and then a club afterwards.

What else could we do for a friend on her birthday? Dinner + Clubs is now boring.

Well, aside from breaking into the zoo and stealing a zebra....dinner and clubs can get boring after a while. You could organize something private, maybe with a theme, that you could do in one of your homes. I don't know this friend, but you should consider what her tastes are. If she plays some pool, the Academy of Spherical Arts is a very cool place to have a birthday (I noticed you live in Toronto). Dunno...I'm sure others will pipe in.

I was thinking on the same lines as Cavfancier.

Boat rides! I always like boatrides. Surely there must be something like that in big ol' Toronto.

You could, in lieu of a boat ride, take a train ride. Around here they have a dinner train... supposed to be fun.

Rent a limousine (so you all can drink) and drive around to someplace fabulous and have an extremely fancy picnic prepared by one of those really good Toronto caterers. Smile

Smile -- I'd especially like the last one, I think. Having once rented a limo for my kids (why do we always do cool stuff like that for kids?), I've always thought how nice it would be to have a traveling party. No worries, bring your own CD's... have fun.

There are some very nice harbour cruises here, or if you're in the mood to do something different - go to the St. Lawrence Market - pick up some special picnic fixings, and then take the ferry over to the islands. It's a fabulous day trip, pretty much year round.

Why, the Toronto Islands of course! There is even an airport out there, in Toronto Harbour.

There is a small community out there, as well as tons of green space, walking paths, a mini-kiddies park, yacht club, garden tours, public nude beach ...

I love going out there.
