In France, if you say douche, they understand that to mean a shower bath . . . the only problem you might have is that if you were to shower every day, they might think you were obsessive compulsive.

Hehe, no, nut case translated into German doesn't mean anything.
We use animals to cuss at others, like stupid goose, monkey, deer...

Hah, I found one: jack ass translated into German has the same meaning as in English.

I remember as a child seeing the movie Irma la Douce, and thought that was horrible, calling that whore a douche bag....


Now I see that douce means sweet.

I think I liked it better the other way.


I mean, who wants to call someone a sweet bag?

while "nutcase" doesn't translate directly into german , there is a somewhat similar expression : DOOWE NUSS = stupid nut .
