A couple weeks ago he seemed to actually post out of character and described himself as something other than a swamp-dwelling capybara farmer. It was creepy.
That proves that Gus is just a man with weaknesses and foibles just like the rest of us. He's a simple farmer with no ambition to become anything else. So sad.

Gus is either a journo assigned to cover the election or party political support worker of some kind probably on the democrat team. Most probably some kind of a market analyst or spin doctor type.
As the US election has intensified Gus has posted less and less. However he does tend to post more when there are larger gaps between primaries ie the pressure is off a little.
I do wish to thank gus though. About 2 years ago I posted a photo of some small birds nesting in my house roof. Gus was kind enough to point out the need for some painting to be finished. I glibly replied that I would get to it and stop being a nagging old woman I have had Gus's words ringing in my ears for some two years now and finally it has become too much.
I'm finally painting this area of my house.
