Yep, Green Witch, there's so much subtext to these gems of yesteryear...

Where to begin? I don't have the tools to describe it, but there seems to be something extremely progressive? about the white men being in jail and the brother being entrusted to not only care for little Shirley, but to give her some life skills, as in, earning some quick cash to get her pedapheliac relatives (twisted?) out of the slammer.
