"In one sentence or less, what's a really important thing you've learned about life so far?"
This can be anything, funny or serious... but it should start with the words "I've learned..."
I've learned a couple new things about numbers I didn't know about.
Reminds that numbers and math flow and have a certain magical quality.
Right you are Husker ... if it weren't for numbers, we wouldn't have computers!
I'm always attracted/interested in women that aren't into me, and the women that are into me are always the ones I don't find attractive.

We always want the one who doesn't want us ... however, I think when the right one comes along we'll want each other:)
I've learned we are uniquely different and thats what makes life so enjoyable.

I've learned that when you lose your keys you need to look at what you did when you walked into a room AND what you did as you were leaving that room.

Misti was agreeing with you. When she asked "Who said it's no fun being different?" she was posing a rhetorical question:
E.g. "boy am I happy I didn't get on that plane"
It's a question but it doesn't expect an answer and is not directed at anyone really.
so when she said: "Who said it's no fun being different?" she was just agreeing with you. Not implying that you said something different.
