Okay, I know what it is. A virtual world and all, but really, what it is?
I always thought it was a frivolous idea and that I'd never have time for stuff like this, but I've seen people singing laurels in its praise on other forums. Like, how some people are making actual money from it and getting real life jobs, etc.
It still seems like some fad to me, a marketing policy like Lonelygirl, which would eventually disappear after creating an initial sensation.
Has anyone joined? What do you make of it? Do you really think it's not just another time-wasting online frivolity?
From what I understand, it's like a glorified chat room.
There's a great episode of the Office that touches on Second Life.
I registered as Jesmine Milena. And I don't know what to do with it. They seem to be asking for credit card info!
