epilator better then..........?

Im sick of buying razors.
They are pricey ...

So I purchased an at home wax kit.

Since Im too scared to open it.. ( and it was less then 5.00) I am considering an epilator instead......... I think..

Mostly because I have thick Cherokee hair that has the curl of African hair..

Shaving only starts fires... it doesn't remove anything on my body..

Anyone use one?

Is it gonna hurt? Laughing

I'm sorry, shewolf, but I can't help you out on this one. I believe this is the first time I haven't been there for you.

My response was supposed to be to "will it hurt?"

But, it works for Gus, too. Laughing

Let's see. The epilator tears hair out.

Yes, it hurts. Itty bitty chunks of skin are attached to that hair.

<shudder>

Are there any people who do sugaring or waxing that you could barter cleaning services with, til you could do the waxing yourself? or threading?

Sugaring and waxing seem most common in the African and Middle-Eastern communities here, with threading more common in the South Asian communities. Most affordable there, rather than in a spa.

It does hurt but you'll have many many weeks of smooth legs.

Bikini line hurts badly. If you could get some Lidocaine (numbing cream)
it would help, otherwise I'd stick to waxing.

Why don't you start with something simple - like eyebrows.

Have 'em waxed once.

Then try sugaring.

Then try threading.

Then go with what doesn't kill you with pain.

~~~
Given the texture of your hair, I suspect waxing or sugaring will be your best option.
Epilator - that's for when you can give yourself an epidural first.
