BBB, don't you think that 60 is still young?

Wow! Walter looks like such a professional.

sheesh...osso just sent a pm alerting me to this cozy celebration and thus I am a day late to my own birthday fete.

Turning 60 has produced no trauma but I did act preventatively yesterday by waking, then scooting over to a nearbye pet store where I kicked a puppy.

Normally, each birthday, I go for an hour or hour and a half body rub. But this time I foolishly opted for a camera lense. I will begin to use it immediately upon completion of an intensive 3 year course in "Mastering the Modern Digital SLR Camera". I mean...phuck! There's an option, down about 18 sub-menus coming off of a screen which I can't find, that will allow me to synchronize firmware, graph white balance electro-static interference, and redirect up to three orbiting satellites. If they are going to sell these godamn things to seniors, they should come with medication.

You're all very kind and I thank you, particularly squinney for the Mountie cake.

love
bern

now that's a vision! I can hardly wait to show The Empress - she'll be delighted.

I sure hope that the first 48 hours of modern maturity have worked out for you, BernMeister!

Yeh, mine has a giant book I have yet to really delve into. I had enough trouble with my nikon 70 to start with, though it worked even though I dropped it on the Spanish Steps so-called, and which I'm still using now in my comfort zone.

Your progress with the camera lens will enbolden me.

We see the sixties yet again...

So I'm three days late to my own husband's birthday party. Good of all of you to wait for my late arrival. Bernie did opt for a camera lense.....but I think he should go for the massage as well. But he won't hear of it.

And it's a good thing for me he's willing and able to tackle the camera instruction manuel because I can't do it. Or is it that I won't?

And yes, JLN 60 is young. We're at the prime of our lives.....but if that's true why does it hurt so much to move?

Happy Birthday Bernie.........you loveable old fart.

I've avoided Bernies b'day but only because he is so much older than I and I do show respect for my elders.

I remember the age of 60 fondly. I was clearly at my prime. I could count still.

This is the 60th consecutive year that I have missed acknowledging Blatham's birthday and I feel a lesser man because of it.

Happy belated birthday, (may I call you Bernie?) and here's hoping the road in front of you is paved with prosperity.
