I'm afraid what you are seeking won't be found in war.
I understand that many are getting killed and such. But throwing an innocent puppy who is just wandering around is messed up. Animal abuser.
I suppose the same can b said for all the innocent civilians who were just wandering around doing nothing.
Look on the bright side: puppies aren't allowed to go to Heaven.
Soldiers have to desensitize themselves to help themselves accept what they are doing.
