Weather wimps. In my part of the country, we refer to such weather as "flurries".

The whole town is in chaos, cars smashing into each other, people screaming and seeking motel rooms.

Around these parts people wouldn't even notice.

I was once in Southern California and it started to rain. It was like the whole population turned into a bunch farm turkeys. They just stood there looking up into the sky with their mouths open. I bet a few of them drowned.

Jane just called me from her cell phone and she seemed pretty panicked. She said she is trying to get home, but she is sliding all over the place and hitting things.

I would imagine Jane driving in snow looks like this.

Hah!! Gustav, my driving skills are superb, plus I grew up closer to the Alps
and I know how to drive up snowy mountains. Anybody else in southern Cal can't drive in rain or snow, that's a given.

That sure was a mess here yesterday - luckily I live on the beach
and there was no snow, but we got torrential rain showers that flooded
parts of the town. The inland valley and the mountain region got quite
a bit of snow, yes.

Today, the sky is blue and the sun is out again, like nothing ever happened.
From my house I can see the snowy mountain tips with is quite a beautiful
sight.

This is a postcard picture, but it really looks like this today...so nice!!
